Fourth Grade Farm Bureau Ag Fairs

Fourth Grade Students in Dumas, Spearman, Perryton, Gruver & Dalhart learn about groundwater at the Farm Bureau Ag Expo by making edible aquifers.

 

Students construct their edible aquifer in a cup, and then finish the activity by eating it.

 

Students learn about the Ogallala Aquifer at the NPGCD display.

 

 

Project WET and Major Rivers Teacher Workshops

Teachers learn about groundwater & water filtration.

Hunting for the source of groundwater contamination in an activity called
"The Pucker Effect"

 

Using pH as an indicator of the location of acidic groundwater contamination.

Girl Scout Badge Workshops

Brownies learn about point and non-point source pollution with Frankie the Fish

Water Wise Gardening Classes Teach Residents About Drought
Tolerant Plants and Drip Irrigation for Homeowners

Master Gardener Leon Church guides homeowners in selecting beautiful landscape plants that require little water.

 

"Make a Splash" Water Festivals in Dumas and Perryton


Getting up close and personal with aquatic "critters" at the "What's In
