- On Saturday May 21st the North Plains
Groundwater Conservation District will be hosting a FREE Rainwater
Harvesting Workshop. The workshop will be held at 9:00 am in the District boardroom and will
be presented by Nich Kenny, the Texas AgriLife Extension Service irrigation
specialist in Amarillo. Kenny will take participants step-by-step through
the process of building their own rain barrel for capturing rainwater. He
will also present information on more complex rainwater harvesting systems. Please contact Kirk Welch

- The next meeting of the Board of Directors
will be held on Tuesday June 7, 2011. The meeting will be held at 10:00 am at
the District offices located at 603 East 1st Street in Dumas. When it becomes
available, a copy of the agenda will be posted here.
